Noddy is a character created by British children's author Enid Blyton (1897 – 1968), one of the most successful children's storytellers of the twentieth century.
The Noddy books, intended for young readers, are Blyton's most successful book series. And Noddy is one of her most widely known characters. However, her main work is the genre of young readers' novels in which children have their own adventures with minimal adult help.
Sales of Noddy books are large, with an estimated 600,000 annual sales in France alone, and growing popularity in India, a large market for Blyton books. Television shows based on the character have run on British television since 1955 and continue to appear to this day.
Now your child can join in Noddy’s adventure to discover his surrounding world with enthusiasm and curiosity and share fun with his friends in Chinese! The book comes with Chinese characters, the Pinyin (phonetic transcriptions) and the English translations.
The book includes a VCD that children can enjoy watching on TV or computer. The VCD narrates stories in this book in English, and is accompanied with Chinese subtitles and animated cartoons. Please see Q & A about VCD for more details.
